Growing my 1st cactus from seeds...

The adventure begins as I am starting to see them grow. I did 2 batches of seeds in different containers. I added about 25-30 seeds to each container.  All you need is cacti soil, starting seeds,  and perlite.

Exactly 1 week old today

Now exactly 1 month old growing good so far
                                                        2nd month sprouting

Creamy Asian peanut dressing

Hi all! Hope you are all having a great weekend! As for me it's the second day and still feeling sick. All day laying in bed, drinking fluids and soup. Today, I am craving for Asian salad. This dressing was given to me by one of my friends from Taiwan. She knows how I love Asian foods and salad. One day she invited me for lunch at her house and made me a nice Creamy dressing salad. I was in love with it. Since, then it's been a hit in my household!

Very easy to make just blend everything and serve over salad. For salad I used romaine lettuce, cabbage, scallions, mandarin oranges, avocado, and some chow mein noodles. I love tomatoes so have to have that in my salads.

Creamy Asian peanut dressing
1/2 cup Mayo
1/2 cup Apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup Rice Vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Peanuts
1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
2 Tablespoon sesame seeds
2 garlic
pinch of salt
Add all to blender. Then serve on salad! Enjoy

Yummy and Tasty!

Have a Blessed Weekend

Vintage Milk Can Jug....

Oh how I love JUNK! So excited that finally I was able to find a vintage milk jug of craigslist for an unbeatable price. So, I picked up this old Rusty milk jug. This milk can was in its original state. Love how other people think its ugly, hideous, but to me I love it!

As you can see in the picture it was very rusty. Once, I get to work on this will post pictures..

Blue campaign dresser...

Happy Wednesday. Today I want to show you this dresser I bought a little over a year ago on craigslist. I totally forgot to take a picture of it before. I was so excited to get to work with this dresser that I totally forgot to take pictures.  I do plan to use this for my kids room but, as for now it's in a small hallway upstairs and I Love it!
It's amazing what a little paint can do!

Have a great day!

Love my Laundry paint color..Blue Arrow

Just a little update on my laundry room. I just recently painted it with Valspar Blue Arrow 5001-3c. This blue is very calming and airy color and actually makes the laundry room look bigger.
As you can see there are no shelves. Took them down so we can add cabinets soon.
Here is a peek of the color...

Greek Frappe

I get a lot of comments about my Greek Frappe and how I make it. Mr Frappe coffee machine is my life saver and easier solution than the old way. As you can see I have 2 coffee cans below. The shorter one next to the Coffee machine is the Greek Nescafe which is found at the Greek grocery store. The other one is from Publix and it's the closest one tasting to the Greek one. Make sure you buy the one in this container not the glass Nescafe. That one doesn't taste right.

Alright, all you do is pour water in the coffee maker. Then add coffee filter and add 2 teaspoons of Nescafe. Close lid. Now open the blender add anywhere between 1-5 teaspoon sugar inside. This depends how sweet you like the coffee. Next add 13 ice cubes. Close push button and it does the work for you. Once done, pour into 2 glasses and add about 1 teaspoon of milk.  Easy to make!

Now if you excuse me it's time for my morning frappe with my loved one! :)

Have a Blessed Sunday!

Palacinke( Crepes)

Palacinke is one of our family's favorite recipes. It can be used for breakfast, lunch, or dessert. This recipe has been passed down from my grandmother now to me.
Ingredients
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 to 4 Tablespoon sugar (depending how sweet you want it. I only use 1 to 2 Tablespoons)
Oil for pan

Mix all ingredients together. If batter looks thick add another 1/4 cup milk. You want the batter to be thin not thick. Pre-heat pan to medium high and add oil a little less than 1 teaspoon. With the ladle add about 1/4 cup of the batter or less to your hot pan. Quickly, move the pan in circles to coat the bottom of the pan with thin layer of batter. Cook for about 45 seconds and then flip to other side and cook for another 30 seconds or less. (Remember to always add a little oil to pan every other crepe )
Makes about 12-15 crepes.
Breakfast this morning,,

Once done you are ready to fill them with whatever you like, Nutalla, jam, feta cheese, syrup, ice cream the list can go on!!!   Enjoy...

Have a blessed day

The feeling of cheerful bright colors.....

Remember the Estate Sale I wrote about? I got this cute vintage table/bistro set.  Right at that moment  I knew I had to get this for my daughter!

I lightly sanded it, added 1 coat primer, and painted it with 3 bright colorful Rust-Oleum 2x gloss spray paints. The colors are Seaside, Berry Pink, and Sun Yellow. Making it crazy Fun, Cheerful, and Bright for her playhouse or even outside patio area...

So here we go....

It's certainly bright...colorful...and even, crisp should I say

                                                                 1 coat of Primer

This is one of my favorite transformations I ever done

Here it's in her play house area where she enjoys playing coffee time
Thanks for stopping by!

Estate sale finds

My mother's neighbor just sold her house and now she is having an Estate Sale. So, I decided to go see her stuff.

I am so glad and happy I went. She did have a lot of stuff I liked but sadly couldn't get them due to lack of space in my home and also I do not have many antique/vintage style fixtures in my house. I might go back and get 2 more things.

Below are the items I got!

It's like Christmas shopping to me
Happy Shopping for me today!!

Have a blessed day
