Refurbished Mid Century Nightstands

Hi all! I have been crazy busy with kids schedule, house and projects. Due to this crazy humid weather in South Florida I am behind working in the garage. A few weeks ago on a Saturday morning hubby and I went out to the yard sales. One place we stopped had all house items for sale. I found these 2 lovely Mid Century nightstands and got them for a reasonable offer.

Well, as you know from previous posts, I have been stockpiling my garage with furniture lately. So after a couple weeks  sitting in the garage I finally decided to get to work on them this weekend. I cleaned them really good with some TSP. Added wood filler in a few places. Top was Laminated so I sanded it lightly with 220 grits. Next I used Kilz Primer and added 2 coats.

Deciding on Paint color, I went with White satin and Java Gel Stain. Last I applied 3 coats of Minwax Polycrylic in Gloss.

They came out a perfect combo!
Thanks for stopping by!
Maria
